What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a condition whereby the cells that typically line the inside of the uterus, or womb, are found outside of the uterus. This condition is a disease of severe pain and organ dysfunction. It can affect many organ systems including gynecologic, urinary and gastrointestinal  1 in 10 women have this condition that is often left undiagnosed and untreated for many years. 

What should I do about my endometriosis?

Every women with endometriosis is different.  The symptoms vary very widely because endometriosis can be found on and around so many organ systems. I provide medical and surgical management for endometriosis, depending on your symptoms, your goals and your values.  If you do have surgery, I perform complete excision (removal) of endometriosis.
